The Forgotten – A young adult fantasy book cover conceptualization.
This is a personal mock project that I worked on to produce theoretical annual report for the 2014 marketing year of Blizzard Entertainment and Activision. The subject matter and companies at large are very near and dear to my heart, and it was thrilling to be able to research the content to work on this.
A conceptualized book created to showcase the innovation of Cirque du Soleil – featuring the history of the company, resident shows, traveling shows, upcoming shows, and a photo gallery.
This book was designed and produced as a personal project.
Part of the initiative to “Ending the Silence” is the education of students, specifically in middle and high school, so making a tool that was available for schools to use and give out to provide information was crucial. Each toolbox would include a presentation as well as handouts for students while still maintaining the identity throughout.
There is currently a lack of information and community geared towards children and young adults in regards to mental health. This campaign joins two non-profits: To Write Love on Her Arms and National Alliance on Mental Illness. It targets those who may not know it’s okay to speak up about their feelings and provides them with information.
One of the problems that non-profit organizations usually face is the lack of awareness and financial support. To remedy this, a line of purchasable items were created that would both financially aid the cause and spread awareness.
Keep America Reading is a new initiative that encourages children and young adults to read for fun. The direction that this print campaign would go in speaks to various ages and raises awareness about the event while paying homage to authors of the past and present.
Lifeline has a lack of physical store presence, to draw in more clientele, a retail end cap display was developed for REI stores across the country. These displays features information about natural disasters and survival facts in order to help educate customers searching for a disaster reliefor survival kit.
Art Direction, Rebrand, Icon Set, App Design
For this particular studio, we were conceptualizing the identity and collateral design for a non-profit organization local called Cascadia Wild. This is an organization that focuses on education, research, and conservation. Due to the fact that so many wildlife organizations rely so heavily on their volunteers, making sure that the things that they hand out make them proud and provide a solid foundation for what they’re trying to teach was really important with this one.
Throughout this process I hoped to create a compelling new identity, while remaining true to their values. Wildlife education and conservation is something that is deeply important to me, so it was truly a joy to go on this journey.
For this particular studio, we were redesigning the identity and collateral design for a non-profit organization local called JHS Multicultural Film Festival. Due to the fact that they’re so community based and nestled in the heart of N / NE Portland, bringing those values through in all the designs was one of the most important aspects that I needed to work with.
Throughout this process I hoped to create a compelling new identity, while remaining true to their values, as well as giving them materials that could be used beyond their yearly needs.
